I actually prefer to use a rag for whitewashing like that, it just seems easier to me. Looks very nice and I love where you put it! As for the lamp, I know I’ve seen that lamp in the gold and white and I’m thinking it was at Wayfair but let me look around a bit and I’ll find it for you. The lamps are all on sale right now too!

Yes, do, Karen! You absolutely can not mess this technique up. SO easy!
I still have the white shade from the other lamp but the bars inside are gold. I may paint them and give it a go. I can’t really paint the lamp since it’s glass and the bar inside is silver (I can’t get to that) BUT it’s growing on me as-is so I will probably leave well enough alone!! lol xo

I know, it’s been several years since I bought that lamp! I couldn’t believe they had one sitting all by its lonesome at TJ Maxx. It’s like it was there waiting for me. ;) I didn’t because the bars are gold but I may paint them and give it a go. BUT…this shade is growing on me now! lol xo
