Thank you for your reply! I live in a small-ish town and our thrift stores leave a lot to be desired. After I sent the message to you, I realized that I could investigate thrift stores in Ft. Walton Beach (about 25 miles from me) or even Pensacola (about 50 miles away). I haven’t tried any of them, yet, but your website makes me want to make a trip really soon! Hi Betty! We have a ton of thrift stores in the area I live in so there are many to choose from. Maybe even a little competition between them because of that. But…the prices can be crazy even around here on some things at times. It’s hit or miss for sure! :)

Can you say where you find such great bargains? The thrift shops where I live sell items for waaay too much. With vases, baskets, and other smaller items, I can often find new ones I like just as well or better at very similar prices! It’s frustrating!

Oh yes, wasn’t that so pretty? And it was still there when I went back the next day when they were having a %50 off all furniture sale. I really wanted to bring it home but couldn’t fit it in. (the furniture had to go when you bought it to qualify for the sale). xo

Thanks, Sue! That’s a shame that people set things out like that but I see the same thing around here. They just want to get rid of it without thought of what will happen to it out in the weather, etc. So many other ways to “get rid” of their stuff without letting it get ruined like you mentioned.

I have a waterfall chest/dresser in my storage unit that I need to pull out and redo. Stay tuned for that one. I’m working on selling and moving things out of our storage unit now, so soon! :)
